Safety and Quality
Dr Kenny du Toit manages all patients in accordance with the NICE (National institute for clinical excellence UK), European and American urological associations' guidelines. Rarely does treatment veer from these recommendations unless risk to benefit ratio is justified.
Communication, partnership and teamwork
In his practice, Dr Kenny du Toit aims to ensure good patient and staff communication. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is essential to safe patient management. GP and staff seminars helps to address teaching and training needs. All of the above, plus partnership with patients, leads to an efficient and safe work environment, where you as a patient, would find yourself.
Knowledge, skills and performance
In keeping with his ties to international training, having spent many years working in the UK, Australia and South Africa, Dr du Toit aims to maintain the standards set out by the American and European urological associations. He attends their annual congress religiously to stay on top of new developments and trends. In doing this he ensures competency in all aspects of his work, including patient management, research and teaching.
As technology progresses, Dr du Toit aims to bring the latest technology to Hawkes Bay, ensuring patients have all available treatments options on their door step.
Maintaining trust
Dr du Toit consults at Royston and Hawkes Bay Hospital, showing respect to his patients and colleagues. These he treats fairly, without discrimination or bias. Honesty with patients and integrity are the corner stones of his practice having received the Rotary Paul Harris award.
